ABC Ultimate Studio employees, recording clients, and any approved visitor to the property are mandated to wear face masks which correctly cover the mouth and nose while on the property or in the building.
Approved face masks are those consistent with CDC recommendations. Specifically – masks cannot be made of a fabric that makes it hard to breathe, cannot have exhalation valves, and should not be those intended for healthcare workers including N95 respirators or surgical masks. The CDC does not recommend the use of gaiters or face shields. Click here for guidance about acceptable types of face masks and how to wear and handle them.
ABC Ultimate Studio staff may remove masks temporarily in the following scenarios:
1. When working alone in a cleaned studio or in non-teaching areas where employees are reliably separated by more than 6 feet from others. Discretion is advised due to the potential for co-workers to intermittently come within at least 3 feet of one another.
Handwashing and hand sanitizing will be required for ABC Ultimate Studio staff and clients. In accordance with state guidelines, staff and employees will be required to practice hand hygiene when they arrive at the ABC Ultmate Studio, and before leaving/end of studio/rehearsal session.
Hand sanitizers are provided in each studio/rehearsal space and hand sanitizer points is at entrance to the office.
All shared spaces are cleaned and disinfected at least daily and high-touch surfaces are cleaned multiple times per day (as used) on a regular schedule using CDC approved products. Special attention will be given to studio surfaces, bathrooms, door handles, shared objects, and hightraffic areas. Disinfecting supplies will be available for use in each studio.
Sanitation of the recording studio and control room is handled by a designated ABC Ultimate Studio staff who provides support before/during/after a session, he/she also liaises with the recording engineer. At the end of each recording session, all recording equipment is wiped down with disinfecting wipes.
ABC Ultimate Studio instruments and musical equipment (e.g. piano, amps) that are used during the session are wiped down with disinfecting wipes. If/where a plexiglass panel is used in a session, it also gets be wiped down with disinfecting wipes.
ABC Ultimate Studio staff and clients MUST/WILL maintain physical distancing in and out of the recording studio in accordance with state guidance. Recording clients will be allowed the following support visitors into the facility for their session: back-up singers and band of the client. Anyone else is welcome to wait outside the building, socially distanced on the grounds, or in their vehicle.
There CANNOT be more than 10 people in the Rehearsal Space and 5 people in the Recording Studio at any one time. Essential visitors e.g. scouting producers and recording clients must exit directly and expeditiously upon completion of the session. Should there be a case of COVID-19 among ABC Ultimate Studio staff, clients, it is crucial that we have an accurate record of who was in the building and when.
Note: Recording sessions will be scheduled so that there is ample time between sessions to allow for numerous air exchanges between recording clients.
Due to Covid-19, ABC Ultimate Studio has put in place protocols that minimize the number of people in the building at any one time (for further details view previous tab ‘Studio/Rehearsal Capacity’), minimize the number of people any one individual is exposed to
throughout the day, and to promote physical/social distancing. ABC Ultimate Studio will be restricting access to the building to only clients with booked and confirmed appointments, and limited staff.
For the purposes of these protocols, visitors include all individuals who do not have booked an ABC Ultimate Studio employees who seek entrance to ABC Ultimate Studio premises. Only essential visitors will be allowed into the building.
Essential visitors are defined as:
● Vendors and Contractors whose urgent non deferrable services are deemed essential for the functioning of ABC Ultimate Studio activities
● Recording studio client support visitors
● Emergency Services Personnel (e.g., EMS, Fire Department)
● Law Enforcement
Essential visitors must always adhere to all ABC Ultimate Studio requirements including symptom attestation and masking while on premises, physical distancing whenever possible, and avoidance of crowding. Non-essential visitors may be on the premises, but not in the office. They are welcome to stay within their vehicle or be on the exterior grounds wearing a mask while maintaining
appropriate 6 ft distancing.
